In this half-day workshop you will be introduced to lighting for film and video. Using inexpensive and everyday items, participants will learn how to achieve cinematic results on a small budget. We will learn about the use of different fixtures, modifiers and lighting techniques to understand hard and soft light, colour contrast and experimental techniques used to create dramatic and unusual lighting effects.
Participants are encouraged to bring along whatever camera they have to hand, whether an iPhone or a DSLR, to understand how cinematic imagery can be achieved with accessible and inexpensive of equipment.
No experience necessary.
